Prof MM Goel is the new Vice-Chancellor of Jaipur's Jagan Nath University
Former Dean of Colleges & Social Sciences, Kurukshetra University, Professor Madan Mohan Goel has resumed the duties of Vice-Chancellor, Jagan Nath University (JNU), Jaipur.

Professor (Dr) Madan Mohan Goel possesses 39 years of teaching experience including 16 years as Professor of Economics at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (KUK).  He possesses administrative experience of more than 15 years in various capacities.

As former Director/Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), he looked after an institution of national importance by the Act of Parliament for which he was appointed by the President of India.  He is former Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kunwar Singh University (State University of Bihar), Ara. As Dean of Colleges at KUK, he looked after 369 colleges. He is former Dean, Social Sciences, Former Chairman, Dept. of Economics & also Dept. of Journalism, KUK.

He is former Editor, KU Research Journal of Arts and Humanities. Former Editor, Journal of Haryana Studies managed by KUK.  He is former Chief Editor “Kautilya”. He has drafted Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy of KUK as Nodal Officer IPR Cell.

He was first ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) Chair Professor of Indian economy in South Korea at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Seoul. Ambassador for Peace recognition has been bestowed upon him by the Universal Peace Federation. Presently, he is Adjunct Professor at    School of Indic Studies, Institute of Advanced Sciences (IAS, Dartmouth, USA) and also Doon University, Dehradun.

His area of research is Economics of Human Resource Development & Indian Economy. He has 392 publications including 05 books & 01 monograph+ 88 J+ 35 EB+204 PM+ 59 CP to his credit.  He has successfully guided 20 PhD and 25 MPhil Scholars. He has also done two research projects. He has established his credentials in economic journalism and development communication.

To determine the research contribution and recognize the research guidance, a unique  honour is the book ‘Economics- A Research journey with Professor M.M. Goel’ edited by Dr. Pradeep S. Chauhan and published by VK Global publications, New-Delhi ISBN;978-93 -5058-587-0  on the occasion of retirement is sufficient ( Review of the book published in Varta UGC approved Journal 48490   Vol.36 No.1 2016 )

As orator, Professor Goel has delivered all kinds of lectures including convocation addresses, memorial lectures, inaugural addresses and valedictory addresses. He is a recipient of two gold medals for standing first class first in MPhil (Economics) and PGDJMC.

He stands honoured in 2018 with ‘Dr. S. Radhakrishnan Education Excellence Award’ by Indian Institute of Oriental Heritage Kolkata at 41st Annual International Conference on Oriental Heritage.

Professor Goel was conferred Rotary Foundation Award for international understanding in 1983 which provided him the opportunity to represent India in USA, UK and Canada.   He has also been in South Korea, Sri Lanka, Australia, Norway & Malaysia, Indonesia and Nepal.

 NAAC, Bangalore has also utilized the services of Professor Goel as Chairperson/Member Coordinator Peer Team several times.  He represented University Grants Commission (UGC) as its nominee in advisory committee DSA III SAP Dept. of Economics, Osmania University, Hyderabad during 2009-14.

 He is former member Board of Governors Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) and National Service Scheme (NSS), Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (Government of India).
