Pro Kabaddi League 2017: Telugu Titans and Bengaluru Bulls play out a nail biting draw match
The Season 5 of Pro Kabaddi League once again witnessed a drawn match when both teams the Bengaluru Bulls and Telugu Titans finished with a score tied at 21-21 in match 19 of PKL played at Nagpur on Tuesday.

This is the second time when a match has ended in a draw in this season. Earlier, Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Fortunegiants had finished their match in a draw.

After five successive losses, the Titans had come into this match looking for a win, while the Bulls had been defeated by Patna Pirates in their last match.

Bengaluru’s captain Rohit Kumar won the toss and chose to raid first for the Titans. Telugu Titans’ skipper Rahul Chaudhari was the highest scorer and the perfect raider with 8 raid points for his team and with the help of his brilliant captaincy and efforts, Titans made an outstanding comeback from 15-20 to 21-21 as the match ended in a draw.

However, both teams struggled with their defence as it was clearly noticed in their performances and the same problem was also pointed out by captain Rahul Chaudhary in his post-match press conference.

He said, “Somehow what we practice everyday is not being reflected on the mat.”

He added, “The defence is unable to bring a player back after he is dismissed. So if I am spending almost five or ten minutes of a match on the bench, I won’t be able to score as many points as I would like. This is something we will have to work on.”

The Player of the Match was presented to Bengaluru Bulls’ Preetam Chhillar who scored 3 tacle points and the Sahi Hai player was presented to Telugu Titans’ Nilesh Salunke who scored four points. Both teams now have 3 points each after their match ended with scores tied.

After playing an absolute thrilling match scoring equal points, Bengaluru will next face Bengal Warriors while Titans will clash with UP Yodha on August 12.
