Telugu Titans will be captained by Rahul Chaudhari, who has been retained from last season. The Titans will take on the debutants Tamil Thalaivas. As compared to the Thalaivas, the Titans are relatively more experienced.
In fact, Telugu Titans have been by far the strongest team of the League having scored the maximum raid points. Whats even more interesting in that Titans skipper Rahul Chaudhri has the maximum raid points (482) in PKL history.
However, despite being a young and inexperienced team, Thalaivas have an experienced Ajay Thakur as their captain. Thakur had been the star player and played a key role in India clinching the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup.
On the other hand, Telugu Titans skipper Chaudhari and his brigade would not like to take the opposition lightly in the opening match. While, this would be a real test for the Thalaivas to prove their talent against an experienced team.
Having said that, the Telugu Titans too have made their share of mistakes in the last four seasons of the League and been inconsistent. While the Titans have finished fifth in two seasons, in the other two they made it to the playoffs, including in the last season.
