Kamal Haasan talks about his film Vishawaroopam II, says injustice done by Jayalalithaa Govt towards the film
Controversies surrounding Kamal Haasan's film Vishwaroopam II don't seem to cease.

The multitalented actor who is currently promoting the film spoke to the media on Wednesday in Chennai. The film is all surrounded by controversy and the actor said that he almost walked away in frustration the last time.

Although the latest trend in the Indian film industry has asserted the fact that controversies help films score better points at the box office but Haasan seems to be unhappy with this fact.

He said, “The first controversy sort of obliterated the film as an ‘aesthetic’ work. People are only talking now of Vishwaroopam as a work to be seen. This film might recreate interest in Vishwaroopam in the rest of the country, at least. It makes a strong geo-political statement.”

Vishwaroopam II is an upcoming Indian bilingual action spy thriller. It is made in Tamil and Hindi and will be dubbed in Telugu. Written and directed by Kamal Haasan, this film is set in India and the second part of the film depicts a strong mother-son relationship.

Kamal Haasan though is not very happy with the way things have been going related to the film. He further added that he was ready to leave the industry because he felt that the film had become victim of injustice meted by the state government to a small company which had produced the film.

“It is a shame for the ruling government and the then Chief Minister (J Jayalalithaa) when a citizen says that there is no justice here. The idea was to make them understand the injustice they were meting out,” Haasan added.

The actor said that Vishwaroopam II is both a sequel and prequel. It goes back and forth in time. The film will also throw some light on the other main characters in the film and give the audience a better picture and an in-depth analysis of the other characters.

Vishwaroopam II is scheduled to be released on August 10 worldwide which is around Independence Day weekend.
